RF Module Manufacturing and Test

Since 2008 MSK has invested over $2.0 Million dollars in RF specific equipment (epoxy and solder dispense, die pick & place, ribbon bonding) that provides more repeatable placement accuracies required for micro-electronic modules. MSK has developed RF test capabilities to 40 GHz. 

Contracts include Ka-Band Transmit Modules and K-Band Receive Modules for a commercial aerospace application. 

Each phased array antenna requires more than 1,000 individual Rx Modules and hundreds of Tx Modules which are tested and compared to one another for Gain and Phase.

MSK has developed test set-ups using Vector Network Anaylzers and Probe Stations to provide measurements across 14 phase and 2 polarization states. Completing the 212 tests is accomplished via LabVIEW computer control. Data mining, yield tracking and statistical analysis are also enabled through LabVIEW.

MS Kennedy offers test procedure development, design and fabrication of custom fixtures and software development. MSK is certified to MIL-PRF-38534 Class H and K, MIL-PRF-38535 Class V and AS91000.

MSK products support most of today’s major defense programs including F-22, F-35, Standard Missile, PAC-3, Patriot, Trident D5, SBIRS, GPSIII, MUOS, AEHF and many classified satellite programs.
